Our family have been patients of Dr Engstrom and Dr Mellgren for over 10 years. We have had the need for some very tough eye issues that required surgery, caring for transplants and to cataract removal. The access to care has been easy and pleasant. The quality of care we receive is at the top and just can't be beat. Roswell is so very fortunate to have this quality of an eye care team. They provide "caring" care with kindness and such a can do attitude.

The intake personnel were nice and professional. The visit with Dr. Paul Engstrom was quick and to the point. Hubby under eyes were swollen with no relief from the eye drops. Come to find out he has a stye and will require a very minor surgical ✂️🙀😬. We'll update tomorrow. 06.30.21 We have visited three time while living here in Roswell NM, with Dr. Engstrom and have never had to wait over 10 mins. Very happy with the way they took care of my son. He is a cadet at NMMI and he had an urgent issue with is eye. They did their best to work around his schedule as he needed multiple visits to check on healing, all during final exams! We saw both doctors for these visits and they were very nice and professional. Would definitely trust them again!

I waited months for appointment, I live over 2 hours away and we left early (530 am) to get there, ran into heavy rain and sleet and had a blowout. I called at exactly 8 when they opened, explained I would be late and why,.I barely got the words out she rudely told me I'd have to reschedule, after waiting months and driving an hour a half in bad weather. I asked there was anyway they could fit me in, she said no, and that they were canceling my surgery which was scheduled in about 3 weeks. I'm completely blind in one ey... read more

Had to come here for a follow-up as my usual eye doc across town was on leave. The receptionist was rude and icy. The whole set up is ridiculous, they have you walking from one side of the clinic to another because they can't seem to get it right the first time. Doc had no bedside manners, honestly nobody in this clinic did!! But the most egregious thing was the doctor promoting lasik surgery!! It is unethical to advertise to someone an elective surgery, especially as I have dry eyes (and had just told him that). Lasik surge... read more
