I need more than 5 stars to give this place! There’s a rare genetic disease (1/36,000) in our family that causes tumors in the eyes, brain, and throughout the body. Our oldest daughter was diagnosed at 15 during an eye exam. Woke up one day with very blurry vision after a couple weeks of headaches and we thought she just needed glasses. Took her in to get glasses and got the breath knocked out of us. She’s almost 30 now. It’s not fun stuff. She’s had over 50 eye surgeries and is totally blind in one eye, as well as 2 surgeries for brain tumors plus a stroke and the one on her kidney has recently turned to cancer. So needless to say when her little sister who is now 15 told me on Friday afternoon that she woke up with very blurry vision that morning, after having headaches the last couple of weeks, it was enough to have this momma unable to sleep for 3 days. I called so many places this morning trying to see if anyone had a cancellation they would put a new patient in for an urgent concern. Nobody was able to help until Michelle answered the phone. I explained the situation and she not only made a spot for us less than 2 hours later, she discreetly relayed our concerns to Dr Creed so there wouldn’t be added anxiety discussing the situation again during the appointment. Dr Creed was very knowledgeable, laid back, easy going, and kept all of us laughing throughout a very very thorough examination of her eyes while my husband and I couldn’t do much but hold our breath. He even took the time to show our daughter pictures of her NORMAL eyes with NO evidence of Von Hippel Lindau disease. I’m so very thankful for the kindness and compassion we were shown today and I’m thanking God for people like Michelle and Dr Creed.
