Located on board a converted barge on Red Brook Harbor in Cataumet, MA, inside the Kingman Yacht Center, the Chart Room has long become a summer tradition for many. Located just 25 miles away from Cape Cod, some come for the breathtaking sunsets, freshly prepared entrees, and live, nightly entertainment at the piano bar. Others come to enjoy a beverage with friends on "the lawn" while savoring the friendly, casual atmosphere. Awesome Lobster Sandwich !!
Okay, I have eaten lobster all of my life. The lobster sandwich here, is legendary. They serve it on Portugese bread, or you can have it in a tomato...but it is filled with huge chunks of sweet fresh lobster, taken from the cold new England offshore waters, making it some of the most delicate snd sweet lobster you will ever eat. Then, it has been cooked under the mastery of a chef who actually gets it. And cares. Lobster can go from devine to tire rubber in less than a minute. Here, the lobster is always pure perfection. The sandwich is about thirty bucks, but you will compare all others to this, and you will remember it for the rest of your life. It is legendary. I'd rather skip the drinks, apps and desserts, and spend the money on the best meal you could ever want. It comes with a side. I always get their scoop of potato salad. It's really good...and I don't even care for potato salad, but I eat every bite. I have never been able to finish one of these sandwiches. I usually eat half and save the rest for the next day. If you're visiting, just keep it in your cooler with ice. If you have room for dessert, I never do, but my friend swears by their sundae that comes served in a beer mug. Oh yes, there are also a lot of people who come to watch the sunset, and drink mudslides at their outdoor lawn area or deck overlooking the water. Many pull up in their boats, having been boating all day. They come to watch the sunset. Sipping on mudslides, while their dinner is on orders Don't miss this place. You hve to look for it or ask because it's not highly visible in a tourist location. Find it. You will see the occasional celebrity here. I remember being there when Dizzy Gillespie asked to meet the chef, because Dizzy said it was one of the best meals he ever had.

Oceanside Perfection !
It doesn’t get any better than the Chart Room for a nice thick lobster salad sandwich on fresh bread......and a million dollar view goes with it.
Never mind the places that give you a skimpy hot dog roll with little in it.....this.....is the place to go.

Another Pleasant Experience!
We celebrated my daughter's birthday at the Chart Room recently and enjoyed our evening. The waitstaff is always friendly and attentive; the atmosphere looking out at the boats in the harbor is perfect. We started with drinks; the Cosmopolitans were delicious. They make great sandwiches here. The chicken salad and the crab meat salad sandwiches with either potato salad or cole slaw were tasty and filling. My favorite is the lobster salad on Portuguese bread. There is quite a bit of lobster salad but not as much as years past, and the price goes up every year. The lobster salad is now $29, so a bit pricey. All in all, a pleasant experience and a place to which we will return.

All chowder should taste this good
I admit to a couple of past negative reviews. However, we went over the weekend for a late lunch. I still say their chowder is the best around. More restaurants should offer quahog chowder. The flavor is more genuine. Also their chicken Salad is home made and always delicious. Stick to sandwiches, soups and salads.

Best Mudslides on the Cape!
Perfect place to stop by for a drink (mudslides!) with friends- sit outside in the adirondack chairs and watch the boats in the harbor!

Great lunch and location
We decided on a whim to take the ride over and grab a drink and lunch. The perfect setting, ambiance and quality of food. Our waitress was fantastic..sadly she told us it was her last day. We had a wonderful time and was exceptionally pleased with the entire experience. I will return.

Birthday Celebration of the Sommers, our friends who were visiting !!!
Amazing sole with lobster champagne basil cream sauce. Great waitress, Martina and great piano bar!!!! We recently moved here.. love it!!!

Mud Slides
Step of the boat and into a frozen mudslide. The best on the cape, relax on many outdoor seats or the crowded bar. Food is just average but sunsets are great.

See and be seen - and don’t forget the mudslides. Sit outside for some relaxing cocktails and watch the boats go by!
