Bitter Honey had an open reservation on Cinco de Mayo, which no other mexican restaurant had or offered that night (in fact, Silver Iguana laughed at me when I called them a few days prior to ask). Bitter Honey opened early for Cinco de Mayo and was PACKED all day due to the holiday. We got to our reservation early and the host did their best to seat us as soon as possible- which was great! Even though the place was incredible busy, the staff did an incredible job all around, and this was a late dinner res (8:30). They were ... read more
The restaurant is cute and has a great atmosphere. Enough noise to not feel self conscious but not too loud. I ordered enchiladas and the husband had chimichanga; both were tasty and different in a good way. He had the red wine sangria which is wine forward rather than sweet which wasn’t a match for what he hoped for (I swear he always expects what he had in Mexico City), and I had a Wife-Elect which is crave worthy of you like Gin. Our first time at Bitter Honey was to celebrate my wife’s new journey and it quickly became one of our favorite date night spot! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming - sometimes it can be a bit chilly inside. We love their creative cocktails/mocktails and the tacos are always packed with fresh bold flavors. The staffs are friendly and attentive. Definitely worth a visit and they validate your pass if you choose to park across the street lot.
Went to catch up with a friend for the first time on 3/25/26 Wednesday night. It was shockingly decently busy but no wait for a table luckily. I loved the food and atmosphere. The water/ busboy was very attentive. Our waitress was good but a little too pushy about extra food up charges and drinks. I would definitely still go back as its a great spot but she just wasn’t my vibe.
The food was definitely not authentic Mexican cuisine. It just seemed like overpriced Mexican food. More importantly, our server Dana was very rude. We reserved a table for 6 to have a margarita tower for a special occasion, and instead of being celebrated we were made uncomfortable. Two members of our party were late, and she continued to come back and ask us where they were which made us feel pressured and uncomfortable. She got upset at us and made us feel bad for getting a reservation for just drinks, even though we ord... read more
