My 92 year old mom was referred to Amity, by her oncologist, having endured two bladder surgeries and deciding it was enough. We had a wonderful experience, I cannot recommend it enough. It was such a relief for the entire family; mom was cared for, the family was cared for. No more trips to various doctors, they came to us. Social worker was lovely- she helped us find a caregiver so Mom could stay in her home. I can only say great things about Amity Hospice. As a memory care patient, my mom had Amity’s services for quite some time and I was able to get to know many of the employees and caregivers well. As a company, Amity was helpful, responsive and had clear and timely communication. My mom was always taken care of and it was so nice to have extra eyes on her. Communication was very lacking. Supplies came 5 days late...too late to be of much use. Hospice workers were uninformed as to patients history, making it necessary to repeat full history each time. One shower was given in the 10 days we used them. One RN told us that we had no business taking care of her. The morning of her passing was extremely stressful. As an independent cancer navigator and patient advocate, I always choose Amity Hospice. Their dedication to detail and compassion during a most difficult time rate them as a 5 star. They recently took care of a young mom and her family. You must pick the right end of life team that can provide expertise and expert care. Amity Hospice is the best Hospice around. The staff is extremely kind, compassionate, and professional. Medication, supplies, and equipment are delivered very quickly. I would highly recommend Amity to anyone in need of a Hospice Service.
