We first saw Dr Stramel around Oct or Nov of 2023 because my PitLab mix was limping. Our personal vet didn’t do a physical exam or x rays and just gave us a joint supplement. After no improvement, I found Dr Stramel. He took one look at her and knew she had torn both ACLs but we did x rays to confirm. Dr. Stramel and staff are efficient, caring and kind. The love that is shown for my pet Stevie is overwhelming. I feel comfortable with the entire hospital. Great office for pets in pain.
I would give Dr. Stramel 15 stars if I could! I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Stramel and Angela Stramel who assisted with some of the PT sessions that my 13 yr. old Rotteweiller, Maggie, attended. Maggie had a torn CCL in one knee, partial tear in the other and arthritis in her hips. My Vet suggested surgery which I decided against at Maggie's age, so I was very lucky to find Dr. Stramel when doing my research trying to find alternatives to CCL surgery. My mini-dachshund Bama had back surgery in January. We have been seeing Dr. Stramel and Angela since his surgery. This duo truly caress about your pets wellness. I don’t think we would have gotten the same results without this therapy or team. I highly recommend Advanced Care Veterinary.
This review is long overdue, but I did want to wait a significant time to ensure the results lasted. About a year ago, my dog Lyla fully tore her CCL. I took her to 3 other doctors and they all said the only way she'd walk normally again was surgery. Due to her age, I really didn't want to put her through surgery.
